We have arrived

After a very long day yesterday which included some flight delays, lost luggage, traffic and a missing team member (not a kid) we made it to Primo Tapia and settled in last night. Today we have played with kids, wrapped presents, cleaned, grocery shopped, made crafts and started meal prep for a meal we are serving at Brick Valley on Christmas Day. Tonight we will do some christmas baking for a few events coming up this week. Have a lovely Christmas Eve.

Mexico Christmas Trip 2014

It is only two days until we leave for Mexico. Our team consists of 18 adults and children from Abbotsford Vineyard (one who currently lives in Toronto) as well as a member from Kamloops Vineyard Church This year we also have a team of nine from YWAM Kona joining us. The YWAM team is in Primo Tapia for a week before we arrive and will stay for a week after our team leaves. We are excited to meet their team and work together alongside La Hermosa Church and Casa de Luz Children's Centre.

Our team arrives in San Diego on December 23rd. While we are in Mexico, we have plans to do Day camps at Casa de Luz (CDL), host a Christmas family fun day at CDL, purchase, package and deliver food and gift hampers to families in need, participate in prayer walks (and deliver soup) in the local village, host a Canadian Christmas block party, cook hot meals for families in Brick Valley, work on the team building (dry wall, painting, etc) and as always, partner with and support our friends at La Hermosa Church in any way we can. They are the ones who are continually showing love to their neighbours and sharing the gospel on a daily basis. It is a privilege for us to be able to work alongside our friends and be even a small part of what God is doing in Mexico!
